Layout Love | Merlin Edition

This adorable kit from Studio Calico is still available so I wanted to shine a little love on it.  I would personally buy it for the stamp alone, let's face facts... IT'S adorable!!!Then you add the gold flair and woograin washi, what more could a girl ask for.. really?

I love so many thing about this layout. My eye goes directly to the overlay, I seriously love this and need to order a dozen or so to have on hand for ... you know.. EVER! I also love her title work the "be you" is just perfection and the simple star from Merlin.. just perfection! Great job Emma!

I love how Michelle has paired the black and white striped along with the woodgrain tape from Merlin! Can we also for a moment talk about the lovely story being told here? The love and magic just pours off this page and that is seriously all we can ask for, .... isn't it?

Oh my stars. This is adorable. First off, I just have to put it out there, I have a soft spot for any layout that has a number for a title,  I don't know what it is but I just love it. Then Jen used the emblishments to put the focal point right on that AMAZINGLY adorable photo, melting!!!! I love how she has used the woodgrain tape as a mat to highlight these adorable pieces. Thank you Jen for sharing your talent with us!!

These three ladies helped bring this beautiful kit to life and I just love what they have done! What has inspired you lately? What are you loving? I can't wait to see more layouts pop up in the gallery using this fun kit!

talk to you soon!

Layout Love | May 20th edition

I fell off the blogger wagon. I don't know how it happens, oh wait I do,... birthdayparties.teacherappreciationdays.muchneededdaysaway.afternoonsatthebeach.schoolcarnivals.bookfairchairperson.latenightsunderthestarswatchingamovie.beingashouldertocryon.doctorsappointments.everydaythings. You know how it is, it is nothing different than what you are experiencing at this exact moment, sometimes it is easy to let the things that feed you fall to the side lines and for me that is crafting. Some times I feel so guilty taking the time to be creative, but the truth is that is the last thing I should feel. I need to take care of me to take care of those around me.. plain and simple!

One of the easiest ways for me to get back into blogging is to brag about YOU GUYS!!! You have always been my number one resource for inspiration, I feel so lucky to be a part of this creative community.

It is time that I admit this but I stink at letterpress. So much so that I gave mine away. I kept my favorite plates to use as stamps and dry emboss, but these adorable coasters make me want to go out and buy another letterpress kit!!! I mean those multi-color bowls.. seriously? My heart!!

I love this beautiful layout from Adow! First she totally rocked the Camelot kit with that cut file (my fave!!!!) but paired it with these beautiful B&W photos that just pull you in! Soft, sweet and just BEAUTIFUL!!

I mean really, do I need to say anything about this beautiful layout? First off the colors, THE COLORS!!!! I love anything even close to a rainbow inspired layout. She cut the PERFECT title work out with her AMAZING cameo and ROCKED some fun watercolors!

What has inspired you lately?

Layout Love | May 7th Edition

I thought it was high time (<---- do people still say this?! Let's bring it back) to have another Layout LOVE post on the blog! Every single time I go to the gallery at Studio Calico I am just in awe.

There are so many things I LOVE about this layout. The graphic journaling is what pulled me right in I love how Marivi pulled together this composition. I have to tell you though, the sequins (my fave are the color theory sequins that come with different shapes in the same shade)  are stealing the show for me here. So whimsical, perfectly placed just lovely! I also am loving the way she used Mister Huey's in my FAVORITE color INKY BLACK! So wonderful!

Chantal is one of my favorite scrapbookers. I love her whimsical touches and how she is able to combine digital and paper scrapbooking so beautifuly. She ROCKED the digital stamp from Merlin (P.S. this is still available, how in the world did that happen?) by adding lovely bits all around the stamp. She is such an inspiration and if you would like to learn more from Chantal about hybrid scrapbooking, make sure to sign up for our class digital | beyond the basics.. it will be epic! :)

Super Toni has been on fire for a while now so it's no surprise to see the beauty when you look in the gallery. She makes the Bluegrass Farm Scrapbook kit   and Project Life kit SHINE with her adorable photo and great title work! She is working from a sketch from the SKETCHBOOK class at Studio Calico and Kelly Purkey. Amazing job Toni, just love it!

What is inspiring you lately? If you have a layout that just pulled you in and you would like to nominate for layout love please leave me a link! Have a wonderful day!

Layout Love | April 1st Edition

Something I use to do a LONG time ago on my blog was something called "layout love" it was simple where I would take some projects that hve inspired me and give them a shining light on my blog. I thought I would pick it up again today, so much inspiration out there.. it's tough to narrow it down!

Hello Today by Meghannandrew

There are so many things I love about this layout, where do I start? First off, I love how she used the lovely stamped paper from Office Hours, that was one of my favorite papers and she makes me want to dig it out and use it! Secondly. .. that photo? COULD NOT be more adorable! Seriously how cute is she? Also, can we just talk about that gold glitter for a moment? In.love!

Friends. There are so SO so many things that steals my heart with this beautiful page. First off that photo? B&W= PERFECTION! I love that she has included her son's handwriting and the story behind it. I love that she made those beautiful banners in Office Hours SHINE shine SHINE. This page makes me want to create 1000 just like it.

For the love of all things Project Life!! First off PINK! I love all the pink paired with the black and white photos. The lovley RECORDED card at the top gives all the details in a very graphic, styled way that is LOVELY! And hello can we talk about how she ROCKED this page protector style? She makes it look to easy! This makes me want to work in my PL right now!

What have you been inspired by this week? Do you have a project you would like to nominate for layout love? If so leave a link, I would love to check it out!

The one with layout lovins

Hiya! How are you guys today? Thank you so much for all the positive feedback on the sketch yesterday! What fun! I can't wait to see what you are going to do with it!

There is something about the scrapbook community that always leaves me inspired. I am in awe of what YOU ladies can do with some paper & glue. Your creativity is never ending, and always surprising. I wanted to honor some projects I have seen in the galleries the past couple of weeks with some extra love! Will you join me?!

There are so many things I love about this layout but let me tell you what really stole my heart.....the bold statement of putting that #2 front & center to SHINE! I also love that Michelle put that adorable speech bubble above the two which creates this super simple whimsy. I just adore this layout.

Okay, I am already breaking my own rules by adding a card to my layout love, but that is ok, right? I LOVE Marinette bold design here. The B&W is just stunning combined with all that typeography.

By looking at this layout would you ever imagine this is Tessa's first layout in the Studio Calico gallery? Yeah me either! Its epic! I adore how she used the packaging form the wood veneers.
I can't wait to see more work from you in the gallery Tessa!

So there is what I have been loving lately! What about you?
Link me up to some of your faves!
Talk to you soon! xox

P.S. The cute "stamp" I used to create the layout love image
