Sparkle

I know it's December 1st and you are thinking about Christmas but just for a tiny moment I would love for you to think about 2015 and tell you that we need to start it off right with a bit of SPARKLE!!!! Walden Reveal and an update on the Thankful Heart Stamps!

It's an exciting time over at Studio Calico! We are getting ready for Gratitude Documented, the Walden kits are live, Christmas items are hitting the store just so much excitement! Where should we start today? Since I have gotten many messages asking that the thankful heart stamps be restocked let's start there!!

They are restocking these, please push "notify me" so you will get an email as SOON as they come in and you will be sure to snag them before they sell out again :) While you are at it here are couple other things I recommend for the class : 

These 3x4 journaling cards are the basis for my album but they would also be perfect for Project Life or traditional scrapbooking as well!

Arrow Letterpress Plate

I don't have a letterpress machine, but I have been using the letterpress plates as a stamp. I love an arrow background stamp and it's perfect for those 3x4 cards you want to add a little something to!

I had a lot of fun using the different elements in Walden in unique ways, this kit lends its self well to a little creative play!

I also had a ton of fun creating the template this month! It was based on one of my favorite wood veneer pieces from Studio Calico and it is just so much fun to fill in all the pockets! 

Okay on to add-ons, I LOVE these kits for my gallery but I think I loved them even more for my gratitude album, they just had so many things that worked perfectly!!!

Now I know you are thinking "but Shanna that is the most expensive kit in the store", yes I know! But friends, it is worth every single penny!! There isn't a single aspect of this kit that isn't crush worthy!!! That ephemera pack? SO JAMMED PACKED! The papers? Perfectly picked! That alpha stitch template alone is something you will use over and over again and turn your projects into something special! The world veneer is magical and those sentiment stickers from Amy Tangerine will help you set the ton of your page! SO much LOVELINESS!!! So yes, it may cost a little more but you are going to get miles out of this kit, I promise!

The Underground, don't let your box ship without....

Did you guys pick up some amazing goodies to go with your Underground kits?! I was out of town for reveal but was looking around tonight and wanted to share a couple goodies I think would work fun with the kits!

Purple is a hard color to find, and so HOT right now. This is ink is PERFECT for your fall projects!

It's always tea time stamp set. I LOVE 2 set stamps and I have to say Deb made me fall in love with this adorable set, I cant' wait until it arrives!

One of my favorite add-ons this month is still available. I thought this would be one of the first ones to go with those OUT OF THIS WORLD rub-ons, adorable stamp and FUN stickers! I created one of my favorite projects this month using it and can't wait to use the rest!

Penny Arcade!!!

Do you ever have points in your scrapbooking that you take a turn in the road and it totally revunivates your creativity? I am there. And I am loving it. Now I know this may not translate to what you are seeing from me on your end.... but I am really focusing more on the STORY behind the page and it has become such a rewarding experience for me!

What I love about these kits is they are the perfect for the backdrop and I love all the embelishments that come in the packs!!

I loved the cloud theme seen throuhout the main kits

This is a 12x12 (woha) without photos, it is a love letter to Jonathan 

reguarding the time he was 1/2 around the world for a year. 

Here it is folded in 1/2 (to fit inside a 6x12 insert for PL) 

I made sure you could lift this flap to be able to read all the journaling.

I also really wanted to make a mini this month and here it is! 

VERY simple just a single piece of cardstock for the base folded accordian style. 

Project LIFE!!! Oh how I love this time of year when your binder

 starts to fill and you can see it as a collective piece!!

Hello Hello Project Life Kit

Hiya friends!!! I have a guilty pleasure, I don't know whats wrong with me but I LOVE haul videos on YouTube, something about seeing the product in 3-d? Or hearing what other people love about it? I just love them. But don't tell anyone ok? It's like a soap opera.. it's just between us! :)

Here is the SUPER FUN Hello, Hello Project Life Kit (if you aren't already a subber check it out!)

I had fun playing with the oranged, pinks yellows in this 9x12 PL spread. 

Instead of writing out what I love about the kit I thought I would TELL you in this little UNBOXING video! I wanted to point out BEFORE you watch the video that the yellow twine you see in the box was pulled from the kit but you guys get that SUPER AWESOME washi tape (jealous) so I think we are more than even! :)

June Shop Picks for Studio Calico

It's that time again! Time to load up your carts with those goodies you have been eyeing all month, because starting now things ship free with your Studio Calico kit! In the past I have done a collection of items that I think work well with the kit, or are new to the store etc. This month I have ONE pick but it is only because it's fantastic and I only recently fell in love with it.

It is this lovely set of papers from the Color Theory line at Studio Calico

Now don't get me wrong, it's not like I didn't fall in love with them the moment I saw them. I mean hello, just look at them, they are PERFECT for any stash! But the difference is NOW I am using them! The set comes with 2 of each sheet of 12. This makes for 24 different color since there is an A side and B side to each paper. I took one of each paper and cut it down to all 3x4s.. you can get 12 3x4 cards from each set of paper which gives you a nice RAINBOW collection of cards! These make the perfect background to any project life project you are working on.

I don't know about you but when I am working on Project Life I slip all my photos in and do the rest by color, so this was the perfect solution for how to use these papers for me! How about you? June Sneaks

Hey summer Yo summer Get up and GO summer! It's June sneaks already. How in the world did that happen? I know I think I say this every SINGLE month, but SERIOUSLY.. seriously! JUNE?!

I had a lot of fun with the digital items this month and was also asked to design the templates (my faves!!!) I hope you enjoy them as well :)

My favorite things about the Project Life kit in June include the LOVELY colors (pink and orange paint splatters, I mean HELLO!) The watercolor diecuts and that FUN sentiment stamp!!

Some of my favorite things about the main are the BIRD paper, the acetate shapes and the FOAM stamps!!!!! I hope we see lots more of those in the future. Wouldn't an alpha be fun?!
