Christmas Shopping With Lindsay Letters

I know I know Thanksgiving hasn't passed but I have to tell you I am almost down with my Christmas shopping!!!! I have a couple things to still pick up and I was waiting for a couple of my favorite artist to put up their Christmas collections before I purchased because they are worth the wait. You see, I love to support small handmade businesses this time of year. This is in fact what leads to the early shopping, I can't just run to the mall and pick up the perfect gift, yes I could get an "ok, this will do.. " but I love searching out THE PERFECT gift for those special people in my life and that takes a bit of extra time, ..... but friends... it IS worth it!!! I wanted to share with you today one of my favorite places to pick up goodies!!!

Lindsay Letters not only makes the most amazing prints but also is one of the SWEETEST most generous people you will ever meet, now what is NOT to love about that?! This is someone I purposely support this time of year, I believe in her, I believe in her art and I believe in the smile on my face when I walk past any thing she has made.

So what are we waiting for? Let's look at some of my favorites form her holiday collection this year!!

I love this print, like to a million pieces. I mean, it's totally ok to buy MYSELF a Christmas present as well, correct? Oh..... hunny!?

Oh Gold, I do love you. I love the message of this sweet print and I think it is the perfect reminder for the reason for the season.

Watching Elf on Thanksgiving is one of your holiday traditions and it seriously NEVER gets old! I love that you are instantly in the holiday spirit after watching it. One year it was even so inspired to make a paper snowflake garland that covered our room in a similar (not as fantastic way) as Buddy's store make over!

I have these and love them to pieces they are perfect for making a quick holiday card or a custom Christmas tag, just LOVELY!

Whatever you choose from Lindsay you are sure to love, I hope you find the PERFECT gift for that someone special (or yourself) in your life!!

Gearing Up for December Daily

I know! I didn't start of with "the one with". Crazy. I know it! Anywho.. Guess what I got in the mail yesterday!? A vintage version of Charles Dickens Christmas! I am in love and plan on using it for my December Daily Album.  To tell you the truth, I needed a slight break from Pocket Scrapbooking (even though it is my one true love... aside from you of course JONATHAN ;) ;) ) and I was so inspired by Maggie and Marcy's class - Happy Little Moments-.

I love the December Daily Kit, and even though it comes with an album (which I already used, opps!) I will still be using the rest of the elements to create my book!

See, it is perfect right?

What are you using the create your December Daily?

The One with the December Daily with Studio Calico

Thank you so much for joining me today for the Studio Calico December Daily blog hop! I want to start off my just being HONEST with you all today. To be honest I didn't think I was going to participate in the December Daily process this year. I am dedicated to completing my Project Life album in full, and really how can I keep up with both? Even with the beautiful kit, seeing the sneaks, hearing the hype. I didn't think this year I was going to join in. Actually, until I was putting together this post for the blog hop, that is when my heart strings were pulled! I was going through old Christmas photos and as I went futher and further back I had less and less photos. Even though I have been scrapbooking (digitally) since 2007, I wasn't always capturing the small memories I had made with my children. This season is so magical even single moment should be remembered.

Off the top of my head I knew last year was going to be difficult to EVER forget, we had some pretty BIG moments... it was the year Jonathan returned home from a year long deployment.

Christmas 2012

We also added a new member to our family! I can't imagine our lives without her in it!

But we also had many tiny moments that made the season so magical......

handing out care packages on the streets of the city....

worshiping together.....

our favorite tea in our favorite mug.....

decorating the house ......

p.j. mornings filled with hot coco and snowman cookies.....

Then I started to dig a little deeper

Christmas 2011

This was the Christmas right before Jonathan left, look how much Jaden changed....

Christmas 2010

We moved back home this summer, I was so happy, and Addison was so TINY!!!

Christmas 2009

This is literally one of the only photos I have from this season! I know it was a magical season with our little family, I just wish I had documented it better!

With that, I encourage you to go back! It was a TON of fun to look back on our little family history of Christmas and the season surrounding it! Now I can't wait to document this year, I know we will have UNFORGETTABLE moments, and I don't want to forget the moments in-between. The moments that seem so little now, I know I will want to remember later.

So this year! I am ALL IN!!!!

These stamps are amazing!!!!

Studio Calico, you had me at embossed stars!

So with that I am excited to order my Studio Calico December Daily kit! Have you ordered yours yet?
