Verse: Psalm 51:12

This week we are focusing on the phrase: "Celebrate Always, God's Promise of Restoration under a Banner of Grace" I took this from a sermon Pastor Chris taught this morning at my home church, Redwood Covenant Church.  I loved this statement because RIGHT away you see this beautiful banner of grace in your head. I thought it was important to document that in my journaling bible. This week as we walk through our everyday life let's not forget to CELEBRATE what God has promised us, just imagine this BANNER of grace over your head and think of the RESTORATION he has promised us. I pray that you find peace in this statement as I have and have a blessed week.

Reflect Sunday | 9.7.14

Happy Sunday! I loved seeing everyone's reflections from last week's prompt in our facebook group  and I can't wait to see what you come up with. I am sure many of you have seen this video but I can't watch it without tearing up. There are a couple verses that come to mind when thinking about the message in this video: Genesis 2:7; Isaiah 64:8; Jeremiah 18:1-6, John 12:23-32; Romans 9:20-26; 2 Corinthians 4:7-10; 2 Timothy 2:19-2; Galatians 5:1- and a couple themes I get from this video (but it may speak differently to you!) freedom ; love ; forgiveness ; grace  ‪#‎reflectSUNDAY ‬‪#‎journalingbible‬ ‪#‎illustratedfaith‬

For those of you who have more questions about art journaling in your bible check out my other posts here. If you decide to take part in this week's reflection I would love to see your work either linked here  , on our facebook group or on instagram using hashtag #reflectSUNDAY #journlaingbible  or #illustratedfaith. Thank you so much and I hope you have an inspired day!!!

The one with the BRUSH Blunder

pin found here

Ugh. Do you ever get a knot in your stomach when receiving news about a mistake you have made? That my friends, is exactly how I felt this morning. I got an email from one of my VERY sweet friends (THANK YOU, you know who you are) about a mistake I made in my free digital brush download earlier this week. When I had zipped up the brushes, I accidentally had other brushes in there with it. Please know this was not my intention, they simply were not mine to give. I know it is a lot to ask, when you already have them in your hands but would you be so kind as to delete those? The designers who work so hard to create their designs deserve the credit for these designs, not me! I really appreciate the honesty I have seen today, and the GRACE. I hope that you will join with me and help ME make up for my mistake.

I know it isn't the same, but as a THANK YOU for YOUR honesty, I have another free journal card set for you today.

I was having a bit of a panic attack about all this in the morning, but as I reached out to those affected I was astounded by the grace I was given. It was just a huge reminder to myself to give grace to those around you, not everyone is perfect, we all make mistakes. The important thing is to own up to them, apologize to those around you, and do good moving forward.

I hope you all experience as much grace today as I have. This is an amazing community!
