Studio Calico Camelot Scrapbook Kits

I have said it once and I will say it again,,... I can't believe how QUICKLY this month snuck up on me! Yesterday was another exciting reveal over at Studio Calico, but I was at a WONDERFUL super sweet intimate wedding for one of my dear friends, I just could not be happier for them!!

So this month's kit  is DEVINE and reminds me a lot of one of my favorite kits,.. Neverland! 

Camelot

This beautiful kit paired with this amazing cut file from Barbara = TOTAL inspiration! 

I had so much fun creating this page! What I did was simply use the cut file on 5-6 pages of pattern paper as well as white cardstock. One at a time layer the pattern paper behind the white paper flipping up the windows until you create the desired effect. Once you are done fan the layers out to really make them POP!

Another page I had a lot of fun with is this one all about my husband. I used the digital templates I created for the shop this month and sent them over to my cameo to cut out all the shapes! With templates like this you can easily use them as a base to get you started and really make it your own form there!! The lovely worn typewriter font is from the LOVELY Heather Joyce  over at The Lilypad.

Mixed Media Sneak

Hiya friends! I hope you are having a wonderful week! I wanted to share with you a quick sneak (above) of the project I have made for the mixed media class at Studio Calico. I had so much fun playing around with the cut file I created for the class, which was inspired by Jill Ricci. 

I also deisgned these to play with during class as well!

It's a New Year, and with that I am SO excited to be learning from someone I have looked up to for years. Kal Barteski, her style, and simple graphic design has spread like wild fire in our community, but now it is basic to where it started, let's learn from the best!

I love Kal's art prints, and could not be more excited to bring a similar look, in my style to my projects. 

NOW IS OUR CHANCE!! YAY!!! Studio Calico + Kal = PURE joy!

The one with the Process

It's Friday, Friday, Gotta Get Scrappin' Friday! Sorry, my husband plays this song for us every Friday!
Thank you so much for joining me today! In the past year I have had so much fun teaching classes! I find it rewarding, and just a joy to see the "lightbulb" go off when people "see the light" with understanding tough subjects such as digital scrapbooking! But in the past 30 days I have had so much fun TAKING classes 100% as a student! I have found a NEW joy in learning new things from a new perspective! So that is why I was so excited to see one of my favorite creative people was TEACHING at Big Picture Classes!!

Catherine Davis is someone that I am constantly inspired by! Her eye for unique lines and eye catching color is something that always captures my attention! Her gallery at Studio Calico is full of amazingness!

Her blog is also a constant source for inspiration!

With all that being said, I have always been curious about Catherine's process, so imagine my glee when her latest class was announced about just that! I signed up without a second thought! When I saw these amazing files as a class bonus I was even MORE excited!!
