Hiya friends! I told you I was a horrible blogger, right?! At least I am honest here! LOL :)

I can't believe the August kit for ohDEERme is here!!! It is SO MUCH fUN! MY favorite yet! Can you say, HELLO ARROW!?! Oh for cute!!!

I had a lot of fun creating a couple projects with this adorable kit! First off, with back to school it had me thinking LUNCH BOX NOTES!!!! 

Of course I had to pump out at least ONE layout here :) 

I know it seems SOOO weird, but I was super happy when Addy got this little crush on her camp counselor. Let me explain... she has been with me since day one, I do home daycare so she has never left me. My husband deployed in Jan, and I tried to put her in Pre-K, but she cried every day and had panic attacks. (deployment will do funny things). We decided to do summer camp since big siter would be there. She again just couldn't deal, until she devloped this little crush on one of the counselors. It was so stinkin cute, she would come home saying she was going to marry him. Honestly I was just glad she was able to make it through a single day without a TEAR!! xox

And I thought I would try my hand at a card since I signed up for the Studio Calico Card Kit (wahooo!)

Ombre layout & Freckled Fawn Winner!!!

Also I wanted to share a quick layout with you! Its my take on the ombre craze. I basically took every white embellishment out on my table and threw it on the page, then started going crazy with the Mister Huey's! For this layout I used the following Mister Huey colors: Plumb Thumb; Pretty Pink; Piglet; Boss Lady; Cameo; and White.

Sunday Sketch - July 29th 2012

Hiya! I hope your Sunday is going better than mine! Well honestly it wasn't that bad, but I came out of Whole Foods to a flat tire :(. Both kids, by myself, a car full of groceries.... and one flat tire. We are back now and its nap time so I am re-grouping :)

On a FUN note.... I was honored to be asked to be a part of the Sunday Sketch at Studio Calico this week! WAHOOO!!!!! I love when they ask me to do this, because its a fun way to challenge myself :)

Here is the sketch they asked me to work with:

Here is my take on it all :)  Our Epic Summer 

I struggled with it a bit at first, but then I simply rotated the sketch a bit and TA-DA, I love the way it turned out :) Here is my supply list for this layout:

instagram weekend & some favorite apps!

Hiya! How was everyones weekend? Ours was FANTASTIC. It was filled of hours upon hours at the river (the spot we go to on the river has UMBRELLA service!!!!!!, yes that's right folks, for $6 they will CARRY an umbrella to your CHOICE spot DIG it into the ground and steak it down to prevent flying away in the wind storm and looking like a crazy lady chasing it down the beach) (best $6 ever spent. ever) with yummy orange cream floats and hot dogs. Hours upon hours of floating in tubes and making new friends.  I can't wait until J is home and I can share all the new fun spots the girls and I have found!!

It was just lovely. You want to know one of the best things about spending all day swimming? Both the girls were asleep by 7:45. Oh yes! Two happy and very tired girls! :) 

So my two favorite new apps for the iphone are called PicFx (love the bokeh effect), and Phonto (hello typography!).  Here is a photo I used both of these as well as instagram. 

Want to hear my FAVORITE thing about phonto?? YOU CAN UPLOAD your OWN FONTS!!!! Including... DINGBATS! Yes that's right friends... just THINK of the possibilities. So in the photo above I used a paint-splatter dingbat font and just combined them as I wanted them, as well as a butterfly font. There really are so many possibilities, and I can't wait to play with it more!!
