December Shop Picks

It's almost reveal over at Studio Calico so that means you can START shopping!!!! You can combine your shopping with your kit 12 hours before pre-sale or 24 hours before reveal. I always like to do my store shopping before the reveal to make sure I get my favorite goodies BEFORE they sell out! This month I wanted to share with you some items I have picked up and enjoyed using especially with my BLUE NOTE kits!

1. I am in love with this gold embossed paper from Magical. It is just the PERFECT addition to your December Daily, or any project really, I mean is there ever TOO much GOLD!? No, I didn't think so either. (Sorry this is currently sold out, but check back!)
2.  Speech Bubbles, I can really NEVER get enough! For real, I could use them on any project.  These holiday ones are just too much fun!!
3.  Alpha/Number Roller Stamp,  I love using this for little journaling bits, and adding sentiments to cards. The font is perfect and I LOVE the size!!
4.  Gold CHUNKY Glitter, need I say more? Sorry ladies this is also sold out! You guys love it as much as I do!!! :)
5. These pockets are 1000 times cuter in person, and I am CURRENTLY hoarding them, maybe it will be a resolution to use them up! :) I LOVE that they look hand made, and the little bokeh filter on the pocket I slipped the bike photo into! Sign, in love!
6. Paper clips are a great item to add to your project life pages to attatch sweet love notes from your favorite people!

So there you have it! My six picks for December's Shop, what are you getting this month? If you are anything like me I played Santa for my husband this year and grabbed a couple goodies to go under the tree & in my stocking!!

Gearing Up for December Daily

I know! I didn't start of with "the one with". Crazy. I know it! Anywho.. Guess what I got in the mail yesterday!? A vintage version of Charles Dickens Christmas! I am in love and plan on using it for my December Daily Album.  To tell you the truth, I needed a slight break from Pocket Scrapbooking (even though it is my one true love... aside from you of course JONATHAN ;) ;) ) and I was so inspired by Maggie and Marcy's class - Happy Little Moments-.

I love the December Daily Kit, and even though it comes with an album (which I already used, opps!) I will still be using the rest of the elements to create my book!

See, it is perfect right?

What are you using the create your December Daily?

The One With Custom Muslin Ribbon

My Mother-in-law came home from a trip to San Luis Obispo very excited about all the wrapping ideas she saw while she visited the the adorable antique stores in the area.  This lady LOVES to wrap, and I love to steal her ideas! She started making her own muslin ribbon using her favorite Christmas stamp, so I was VERY excited to give this one a try!

This was SUPER easy, seriously, give it a try.... you will thank me afterward! First gather your supplies, for mine I used: Peppermint Stamp Add-On, Staz-On Ink, muslin fabric (super easy to find at any of your fabric sources), Fabric scissors.

1.The first thing you do is gather your supplies! I love how different stamps will make this project looks so different! Don't be afraid to add color either! 2. Cut a tiny one inch slit in the fabric and then simply tear the fabric length wise to create you ribbon! This is so fun, I love how it tears straight and ravels a little on the edges. 3. Decide what stamp you want to use and play around with different arrangements, are you going to make a pattern, use one stamp or several? 4. Star your stamping!!! It is so much fun to see it all come to life. I like an imperfect stamped image, especially for this! 5. Once you are done you can sit back and admire your work!..... No seriously don't touch that bad boy for a good 24 hours. Allow the ink to dry before you start wrapping things with it or else it will spear as you tighten it. 6. Sit with glee as you look at all your pretty wrapped presents! Enjoy!

If you decide to give this a try, I would love for you to tag me on instagram so I can see your take on it!

Happy Wrapping!!!! xox
